The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is one of Canada’s most established economic immigration pathways. It is designed for skilled professionals around the world who have strong work experience, education and language ability, even if they have never worked in Canada before.
Under the Express Entry system, eligible candidates are entered into a pool and ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Invitations to Apply (ITAs) are regularly issued to top-ranking candidates, allowing them to apply for permanent residence.
Core FSWP eligibility factors
- At least one year of continuous full-time skilled work experience (or equivalent part-time) in an eligible occupation.
- Validated language test results in English or French meeting minimum thresholds.
- Completed secondary or post-secondary education, verified by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) if obtained outside Canada.
- Enough settlement funds, unless exempt.
How we add value to your application
- Assessing your eligibility and estimating a realistic CRS score.
- Advising on strategies to increase competitiveness, such as language improvement or additional education.
- Guiding you through ECA, profile creation and submitting a complete PR application after receiving an ITA.
