The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is designed for individuals who have already gained skilled work experience in Canada and want to transition to permanent residence. It rewards candidates who have successfully integrated into the Canadian labour market and demonstrated strong language skills and adaptability.
Through the Express Entry system, eligible CEC applicants are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Strong language results, recent Canadian work experience and post-secondary education can all contribute to a competitive profile.
Who is the Canadian Experience Class for?
- Temporary foreign workers with at least one year of skilled Canadian experience.
- Graduates who have worked in Canada on a post-graduation work permit in eligible occupations.
- Candidates who meet minimum language requirements in English or French.
